All volunteers in the Diocese of Tucson, must be in Compliance to volunteer at any parish in the Diocese of Tucson. ¨
Even if you are in Compliance at another parish in the Diocese, you still have to fill out the Online Application for St. Odilia . After applying to have to wait until you are cleared to volunteer. By applying doesn’t mean you are in compliance and can start volunteering. ¨
You cannot volunteer in any ministry at St. Odilia until you are in compliance and cleared to volunteer by the Diocese. ¨
To volunteer (new) in the Diocese of Tucson, the person interested applies online at: www.diocesetucson.org . You must have an accessible email address. ¨
Volunteer clearance may take up to two months. You cannot volunteer until you have been cleared. ¨
As soon as a teen turns 18, he/she must apply as an adult (apply online). This means the teen has to be fingerprinted and cleared to volunteer. This can take up to two months. ¨
Criminal History Checks have to be renewed every 5 years (if you renew within 90 days of expiration date, you do not have to get fingerprinted again). ¨
Safe Environment Education must be renewed every 3 years to continue volunteering (this is available online). ¨
To continue volunteering, your Compliance (Criminal Background and Safe Environment) must be up-to-date.
